Kinsbourne Green Common – 2023
A group of residents are setting set up a charity structure so that the community can finalise purchase of Kinsbourne Green Common this winter, to safeguard its future so that it can be enjoyed by all.
The main part of the Common was due to be sold at auction in September, and after years of careful stewardship, there was concern for its future if sold as an investment. A group of Kinsbourne Green residents drove the initiative to negotiate with the landowner to purchase the Common on behalf of the community with locally raised funding. The intention is that local residents will be able to become members of the Charity and thereby have a say in how the Common is cared for. More information, including how to pledge financial support can be found at kinsbournegreencommon.org.uk
